A few years ago a survey was done for over 900 employers in the State of North Carolina. Over 60% of employers responded that communication was their #1 problem followed closely by “soft skills.” While we have a myriad of ways to communicate with our employees through email, texting, social media, postings, etc the problem isn’t that we aren’t communicating. The problem is that we aren’t connecting.
Communication is about the tactical - getting the message out. Connecting is about the audience - your employees. Understanding their needs and their communication styles and translating your messages to them will help them get on board faster. As a certified human behavior consultant I can re-introduce your staff to each other through their communication styles.
